2019 BOMA SPRING CLEAN UP DAY

Solar Vision Inc. is a proud member of our local Business Owners and Managers Association, and our Denver BOMA knows how to have a good time! There is no shortage of fun events here in Denver, like golf tournaments, parties, and afternoon Happy Hours. However among these fun events many Chapter Members also take time out of there busy schedules for the annual Community Affairs Committee Spring Clean Up Day.

This year’s Spring Clean Up was at the Mt. St. Vincent home. Mt. St. Vincent Home provides mental health treatment and foster care services for children throughout Denver. They also offer K-8 school, Early Learning, and many other services for our community, making this a perfect organization to support.

BOMA Allied Members come from all kinds of different trades, from landscaping, painting, and roofing to window tint companies like Solar Vision Inc. Having all these skilled trades on hand allows us all to pitch in and give organizations like Mt. St. Vincent home a refresh every year.

This year Solar Vision Inc., along with 3M’s generous film donation, updated some window tint at Mt. St. Vincent. We also added an exterior film to some windows that were making the interior classrooms uncomfortably hot for the students and teachers.

While these film projects were difficult, our Solar Vision group had a great time. From being fed lunch (not typical when installing film) to Bryan and Heath getting a kick out of watching Susie and I remove 30 year old film. It was a super fun day, and while I still have some loss of feeling in my right thumb, I enjoyed getting my hands dirty, and working my tail off like our Installers do every day. - Shelley Meador
